As of FY Q1-26, five projects are in design, including:

  • Jones Creek Greenway (C-5181)
  • Morgan Creek Greenway Phase 1 (EL-4828A)
  • South Greensboro St. Sidewalk (C-5650)
  • Bike Plan Priorities (BL-0149): Shelton Street, Maple Avenue and East Poplar Avenue
  • North/South Greensboro St. Resurfacing/Restriping

Next Steps

  • Ongoing: Continue pursuing easement agreements with property owners
  • Ongoing: Continue pursuing state and federal funding to advance bike-ped projects
  • Completed: Phase 1 of the Morgan Creek Greenway was advertised for construction in November 2025 with the bid opening held on December 18, 2025. The Town is anticipated to award the bid and enter into a contract with a contractor to construct in January 2026 thus shifting the project to the construction phase.
