Update

The total reflects annual bus boardings and exits in Carrboro for FY 2025. Staff are working with Chapel Hill Transit to obtain quarterly estimates for future reporting.

Chapel Hill Transit reported the following ridership data for all categories during the following months in Q2: September - 515,223, October - 493,745, November - 410,310 for a total of 1,419,278 trips and an average of 473,093 per month.

Next Steps

  • Ongoing: Continue to participate in Orange County Transit FY26 Plan and Chapel Hill Transit Plan workgroups to explore potential projects/route updates to better serve current and future travel needs
