Town of Carrboro FY26 Priorities

Update

The Town of Carrboro aims to restart the Residents Academy in the FY26 year. The Town has previously hosted resident academies but paused the program during the pandemic. This initiative will be a collaboration between the Town Manager and Town Clerk offices. This will be an annual program designed to teach residents about Carrboro town government and encourage resident participation in various areas of government.

Next Steps

Staff have created an outline for the resident academy and are on track for the resident academy to occur this year. Next steps will be posting the application and recruiting community members to sign up.
