Update

The Town’s most recent Tree Inventory was completed in 2009. This plan will update the inventory of trees on Town property and rights of way, noting location, type, size and health. This will help us prioritize maintenance, plan for tree replacements, manage risk, and understand the overall health and value of the Town’s trees. 

Next Steps

Staff are drafting scope of services for the project; they plan to collect quotes and select a contractor by early 2026. The Climate Action team is also applying for a grant from the Department of Environmental Quality to offset the costs of this project.

The Tree Inventory and Master Plan will be completed by June 2026.
