Town of Carrboro FY26 Priorities

Update

In FY2025, the Town funded solar installations on three tiny homes in the Lloyd Broad neighborhood. Carrboro is partnering with Pee Wee Homes, a local non-profit that provides permanently affordable tiny rental homes to unsheltered neighbors, to add solar and dramatically reduce the energy bills for these residents. Unfortunately, due to delays in providing electric service to the homes, these installs are behind schedule.

Next Steps

Installation is scheduled for early 2026 on the Pee Wee Homes. The Town has allotted funding to add solar to two additional low-to-moderate income homes.
