Update

The Housing and Community Services Department is working diligently to maintain and improve Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing (NOAH) in Carrboro. The department funds non-profits that work in affordable housing repair, these funds come from the affordable housing special revenue fund. In Q2, 2 units received weatherization and repairs through a partnership with Preserving Home, and 8 homes damaged by Tropical Storm Chantal were repaired by Habitat for Humanity.

 

Next Steps

The contract with Preserving Home will continue to weatherize and repair NOAH in Carrboro through FY26.
