Update

Four affordable units in Jade Creek (construction pending) were added in Q2. The units are the result of working with private developers to encourage the inclusion of affordable units in their projects. Community Home Trust will purchase these homes, find eligible homebuyers, and maintain permanent affordability.   

 

Next Steps

Challenges to increasing the affordable housing stock include availability of developable land and funds to provide subsidies to create affordable housing. The Town is committed to continuing to make incremental improvements in Carrboro's growing need for affordable housing.
