Progress Updates

The project is currently in Phase 1, the Engage and Imagine phase, which will continue through the end of the year. Staff have met internally for a kickoff to outline the engagement strategy and confirm team roles and responsibilities. Staff are currently working on developing tactics for engagement with the community on developing community scoring criteria that will be used to evaluate design submissions.

Look Ahead

Over the summer, staff will use various engagement tactics to further work with the community and develop the scoring criteria. A hackathon-style event is planned for October which will be in partnership with Govstream.ai. This event will emphasize creative problem solving and innovation, with the goal of identifying tools and strategies that can support a successful pre-approved plans program.
