City of Maple Ridge Corporate Plan

Description

The goal is to establish an updated model for how the City is responding and catalysing action related to community safety and wellbeing. The development of the plan drew on design thinking methodology and engagement with a diverse set of City departments and external social serving providers. The plan is organized into three focus areas: Integrated Responses; Prevention and Follow-up; and, Community and Other Agency Interventions.

KR External Update

The Community Safety and Wellbeing Workplan has been approved and is being rolled out to department Managers. The workplan is phased and spans Q2 2025 to Q4 2026.

Initial priority initiatives include establishing Social Wellbeing Function; Relaunch Be Downtown; CRU/CSO Bike Patrols; and support baby-friendly policy.

An update report on Year 3 of RISE/FYRST impacts went to the Engaged Healthy Community Advisory Committee meeting on September 4, 2025, then to the Committee of the Whole of Council on September 16, 2025.
