KR External Update

The City undertook a review of its financial access program under the recreation umbrella. Research was performed to examine recreation access programs at cities within the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Upon reviewing Maple Ridge's financial access program, it was determined changes should be made to more accurately reflect the economic conditions today and Maple Ridge's position on the LICO scale (Low Income Cutoff for poverty) in Canada. Staff drafted an updated recreation policy will be presented to Council.
