Description

To ensure Maple Ridge is a climate change mitigation leader, the City is creating a framework to help guide climate responses, and assist decision-makers with understanding how climate risks can and will impact both residents and the City’s day-to-day operations. This framework will not only guide decisions, but also policies around the City at all levels of operations, including sustainable purchasing and planning.

Understanding how climate risks will impact residents and the work of the City is a priority.  This project associated with this Key Result involved development of a framework that will help inform decision making and policy for the City into the future. Staff have developed a climate and resiliency lens and framework.  They are now working to incorporate this at different levels of city procurement, operations and planning.
