KR Public Update

The City has applied for two grants related to planting trees to mitigate heat related risks as a part of the implementation of the Urban Forest Management Plan

The City applied for a grant to develop a 5-year Tree Planting Plan to implement the UFMP. 

The City also applied for a grant to plant approximately 1,200 new street trees and park trees in areas of the City that have low tree equity and high heat risk.
