Description

Working with key community interest holders, influencers, and enablers is a priority for developing the innovation ecosystem in Maple Ridge. This key result brings together interest holders to collaborate and support innovation initiatives, foster collaboration, and gather insights to guide the development of the City’s Innovation Ecosystem Action Plan. The development of innovation ecosystems is strongly dependent on connections and collaborations between members of that ecosystem and their respective networks.

City delivered the first community innovation event with strong turnout (126 attendees), building momentum and a pipeline of potential partners across academia, municipalities, and business. Follow-up engagement is underway, a monthly community meetup has been initiated, and next events are being scoped to inform an action plan.
