Description

This key result relates to the work to ensure continuous improvement for business licensing services. The City's goal is to increase the capacity of the team to process more applications and support economic growth in our business community. The key result is made up of two initiatives, one is to increase staffing, and the other is for a business licencing process review. Together this work will improve the efficiency of processing of business licence applications and support services users to have a better customer experience.

Work to review business licensing processes was undertaken in 2025.  Implementing process improvements is still ongoing. A business licence bylaw re-write is being considered, which will align with any new technology to also lead to improved efficiency for businesses seeking to obtain, renew or update their licenses.
