Description

Public art is a vital part of the heartbeat of any City, showcasing local values, history, and providing beauty and thoughtfulness to the spaces it habits. To assist with the commissioning, implementing and collaboration with artists necessary to facilitate such pieces, the City is creating a new and updated Public Art Policy Handbook. This new handbook will clarify and streamline the process of delivering public art programs.

Staff from across departments have collaborated on a new Public Art Policy Handbook. Public artwork projects continue to be delivered and collaborative projects within the community are underway. When the Handbook and Policy are in place this will improve effectiveness of program delivery for public art projects and will better define the program.
