Project Objectives |
This project provides improvements to NE 33rd Street between Dixie Highway and Federal Highway. The improvements include upgraded lighting, irrigation, new landscaping, traffic calming, brick paver enhancements for functional and aesthetic appeal, curbing, drainage modifications, paths for shared uses, pavement resurfacing, new street furniture
and other streetscape improvements.

The team conducted a site walk between NE 15th Avenue and Federal Highway to discuss amendments to previous plans and potential issues in the coming weeks during the last stretch of work along NE 33rd Street.
Offset stakes and nails laid out by surveyors ahead of current work
Continuing bulb-out curb installations along North side of 33rd.
Fresh sidewalk slabs barricaded on both sides. Initiating pours of sidewalk sections intersecting driveways along South side of NE 33rd.
Assembling formwork for driveway slabs and sidewalks. New sidewalks poured and cut moving East along South side of 33rd.
Continuing irrigation installations along South side of NE 33rd Street, hand-digging around fresh sidewalks.
Burkhardt crew installing some irrigation lines prior to driveway slab pours to simplify irrigation installations in coming weeks.
Equipment trailer staged on SE corner of NE 14th Avenue.
New sidewalk ramps and ADA grip mats installed on both sides of NE 14th Terrace.
