Project Objectives |
This project provides improvements to NE 33rd Street between Dixie Highway and Federal Highway. The improvements include upgraded lighting, irrigation, new landscaping, traffic calming, brick paver enhancements for functional and aesthetic appeal, curbing, drainage modifications, paths for shared uses, pavement resurfacing, new street furniture
and other streetscape improvements.

New sidewalks poured, cut and backfilled along South side of NE 33rd Street, approaching NE 14th Avenue
New curb footers poured alongside new sidewalk
Upcoming: Removal of curb forms and backfilling footers on sidewalk side with soil, and roadway side with lime rock, then compacting backfill
Soil for sidewalk and curb footer backfills is staged just ahead of new sidewalk
Barricades removed from excavations prior to curb footer pour. Contractor is maintaining MOT and directing traffic, revised temporary speed limit still in place, with a speed indicator on site.
Surveyors will be on site shooting new edges of pavement ahead of work and marking them out with paint cans
