Project Objectives

Improvements for two bridges spanning the C-14 Cypress Creek Canal: The N Palm Aire Dr bridge from Oaks Dr intersection to S Palm Aire Dr intersection, and the W Palm Aire Dr bridge (nearest the Herb Skolnick Center). Improvements include new pedestrian lighting, landscaping, and widened sidewalks. There will also be a new pedestrian trail, extending along the canal west side (adjacent to Oaks drive ) and east side (N Palm Aire Dr). A short section which may extend into the Skolnick Center is also considered as an alternate subject to funding.
Progress Update
  • Value engineering is in progress for this project
  • This project is scheduled for Go Bond Phase 2
  • Permitting with Building Department has not started
  • Consultant is coordinating with FPL for final point of service and future installation agreement
  • Permitting with SFWMD was completed in March 2021
