Project Objectives |
Replace 38-year old fire station located at NW 3rd Avenue south of Copans Road with a new fire station to reduce response time and enhance fire and emergency services to the area which will include a new 2-story, multi-bay building.
Progress Update | |
Crew has been framing the apparatus bay windows with lumber and plywood, and completed installing fascia boards and plywood on the high roof of the building and apparatus bay
The roofing contractor continued installations of the drip edge and metal roofing panels on the apparatus bay high roof
The masonry contractor continued with the masonry stucco work on the 1st floor east staircase entrances and apparatus bay
The contractor has installed most of the door frames throughout the building and apparatus bay, prep and installed most of the doors on the 1st, 2nd floor of the building and entrances to the apparatus bay
Roofing contractor completed the lower roof at the main entrance of the building, roof on the generator pad housing, framing, trusses panels, plywood and #30 felt and tin caps
The HVAC Contractor has installed two of the A/C units on the flat roof, vents and hoods
Subcontractors and crews continued working on the 1st and 2nd floor of the building laying out the floor plan, wall framing, HVAC air duct framing, insulation and A/C refrigerant lines, electrical metal conduits, outlet boxes and puling wires, bathrooms and shower stalls, valves, water lines, floor drains and fire sprinkler system, wall insulation and wiring
The drainage crew continued excavating and installing catch basins structures, pipes backfilling and compacting the sub base
Contractor core drilled the floor to run electrical main lines from the 1st floor up to the 2nd floor
General contractor has completed majority of roofing work on the high roof, lower entry porch roof, generator enclosure, framing, trusses, joist and roofing panels, soffits and fascia framing
