Project Objectives |
Construct a new fire station to be located at the corner of SW 36th Avenue and McNab Road to reduce response time and enhance fire and emergency services to the area which will include land acquisition and a new 2-story, multi-bay building.
Progress Update | |
- The FPL transformer and main line from the pole to the transformer have been installed
- Crew constructed the roof for the fire tower onsite and completed the installation
- The roofing contractor completed installation of #30 felt and tin caps, fascia boards on the lower roof, completed the installations of jack trusses framework, plywood on the flat, high and lower roof of the building and apparatus bay
- The window contractor completed the installations of the windows on the 1st, 2nd floor and apparatus bay area
- The electrical contractor continued installing conduits in the ceilings of the apparatus bay
- The HVAC contractor continued installing the portable A/C units on the 1st and 2nd floor of the building
- The interior framing contractor continued working on the 1st and 2nd floor of the building, laying out the framework and installing metal studs, framing out the doors and windows
- The electrical contractor completed installation of conduits and junction boxes on the 1st and 2nd floor of the building
- The masonry contractor completed the stucco work on the dumpster pad enclosure
