Project Objectives

The Youth Sports Park project consists in transforming a 10+ acre site along NE 10th street in order to build out a new park facility to include multiple new lighted synthetic rectangular fields (soccer, football and lacrosse), new parking areas, landscaping , walking trails, decorative fencing and other new amenities such as bleachers, shades and/ or fitness stations.
Progress Update


  • Crew continued installing the storm water system on the north east side of the property
  • Landscape crew continued work on the root pruning of trees
  • The Survey crew Keith & Associates were on site, laying out the parking lot, installing grade stakes and elevations for the sub-base
  • Tree canopies trimming work has been completed along the north east side of the property for the drainage crew to continue work
  • FPL crew has completed removing the existing lighting poles from the site
  • Survey crew laid out the locations for the lighting and the building pad passed inspection and density test
  • The Permit has been approved in June. 
  • Contractor is awaiting information for the roofing structure steel/concrete that would determine the load bearing and footings needed for the building, then the shell contractor would start the footings for the building
  • The existing palm trees from next to the building pad have been re-planted at the NE side of the main entrance
  • The City crew installed the tap for the re-claimed water and will return to installed the meter
  • An onsite pre-con meeting was held in June
