Project Objectives

This project is the continuation of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard Jr. reconstruction within the downtown area. The planned improvements (for Phase 2 )from NW 6th Avenue to NW 10 Avenue (I-95), will include paving, related drainage and water and sewer facilities within streets, sidewalks, medians, lighting, landscaping, street furniture and other streetscape improvements.
Progress Update

  • Project is nearing completion as planned
  • Final turnover tasks in progress for signage, striping, paving, landscaping, irrigation
  • Punchlist walkthroughs currently being conducted
  • Final lift of hot asphalt pavement areas performed in July/ August
  • Thermoplastic striping applied to roadway
