Although the Department contracted mental health services, the services contracted were merely an incident response short term service. We have now increased the service contract to include: Incident Response Counseling, On-going Counseling, and Pre-Retirement Counseling. The following is a breakdown of services:
- 24/7/365 Critical Incident Stress Management Consultation and Response, to include:
- Critical Incident Stress Debriefings
- Crisis Management Debriefings
- On-Site Response and Consultation
- Short-Term Individual Intervention
- 3-5 Crisis Intervention Sessions
- On-going training, oversight of PEER Support Team
- Quarterly Peer Support Training
- Department Critical Incident Support Training
ADDED benefits:
- Ongoing Consulting and Crisis Intervention Counseling Services
- Up to 5 hours of service may be provided to an employee per quarter
- Additional hours may be authorized
- 3 Session Pre-Retirement outboarding counseling
- 10 sessions per year for family members
- Spouse day to learn about Wellness and affects of the job.
