The annual MCC Institutional Effectiveness Plan (IEP) Cycle runs from June through May. In June, Planning Unit Managers (PUMs) identify unique operational goals they plan to impact over the course of the IEP Cycle. For each operational goal, PUMs identify at least one operational tactic, and each operational tactic has a corresponding performance measure and target. PUMs also identify how each operational goal supports its corresponding shared service/campus plan, the College's overarching strategic plan, and the Higher Learning Commission's (HLC) criteria for accreditation.

In May, PUMs close the IEP Cycle by recording every operational goal's performance measure result, completion status, and plans for continual improvement. Additionally, PUMs are able to request fiscal resources related to their IEP for the immediately upcoming fiscal year starting in July.

To open the annual IEP cycle, PUMs fill out the blue boxes in June.

Operational Goal

Strengthen MCC's financial position.

Operational Tactic

1. Meeting and surpassing our fundraising goal for the path forward campaign.

2. Continued evolution of the Budget process throughout the District.

3. Modernization of facilities and equipment for eventual cost savings.

4. Periodic presentations and one-on-one meetings with Board members on the Budget, its process and other related items.

Performance Measure

1. Continue to engage interested, potential funders after we exceed our Campaign goal.

2. Commitment to timelines in budget process with continued response improvement.

3. Work to begin transition for new ERP System and replacing other outdated equipment as needed.

4. Schedule meetings and presentations as needed.

Target

1. Surpass goal by Summer; maintaining and following up on a list of other potential funders.

2. Have a 100% timely, response rate from various divisions for budget process.

3. Start by this fall.

4. Set at least three individual meetings.
