The annual MCC Institutional Effectiveness Plan (IEP) Cycle runs from June through May. In June, Planning Unit Managers (PUMs) identify unique operational goals they plan to impact over the course of the IEP Cycle. For each operational goal, PUMs identify at least one operational tactic, and each operational tactic has a corresponding performance measure and target. PUMs also identify how each operational goal supports its corresponding shared service/campus plan, the College's overarching strategic plan, and the Higher Learning Commission's (HLC) criteria for accreditation.
In May, PUMs close the IEP Cycle by recording every operational goal's performance measure result, completion status, and plans for continual improvement. Additionally, PUMs are able to request fiscal resources related to their IEP for the immediately upcoming fiscal year starting in July.
To open the annual IEP cycle, PUMs fill out the blue boxes in June.
Students: For AY 2023-2024, engage with two (2) MCC -- Penn Valley students in an on-going basis who may have indicators (such as students who are underrepresented, students engaged in developmental education, students attending part-time, etc.) that completing their Programs of Study may be less likely. This effort is toward increasing student retention and completion.
Employees: Ensure that all new MCC -- Penn Valley employees receive the benefit of an On-boarding Agenda for their first 1-3 weeks of employment.
Employees: For AY 2023-2024, express gratitude and appreciation to MCC employees in an on-going basis for their work and contributions to the College. Verbally express gratitude and appreciation to at least 10 employees; write notes of gratitude and appreciation to at least 10 employees.
Engage with 2 students in retention efforts.
All new PV employees receive an On-Boarding Agenda.
Verbally express appreciation to 10 employees.
Write notes of gratitude to 10 employees.
