The annual MCC Institutional Effectiveness Plan (IEP) Cycle runs from June through May. In June, Planning Unit Managers (PUMs) identify unique operational goals they plan to impact over the course of the IEP Cycle. For each operational goal, PUMs identify at least one operational tactic, and each operational tactic has a corresponding performance measure and target. PUMs also identify how each operational goal supports its corresponding shared service/campus plan, the College's overarching strategic plan, and the Higher Learning Commission's (HLC) criteria for accreditation.
In May, PUMs close the IEP Cycle by recording every operational goal's performance measure result, completion status, and plans for continual improvement. Additionally, PUMs are able to request fiscal resources related to their IEP for the immediately upcoming fiscal year starting in July.
To open the annual IEP cycle, PUMs fill out the blue boxes in June.
1. Develop a comprehensive strategy for utilizing off-campus sites and centers across the Longview service area -- specifically, the Training and Technical Center of Cass County, the Hickman Mills Community Access Center, and the South Kansas City Chamber facility.
2. Continue to foster and grow relationships with high school districts within the Longview service area, expanding and building out additional Early College pathways where possible.
1. Engage directly with community organizations, site/center staff, and MCC Workforce and Economic Development team to identity areas of interest and need related to each site/center. Incorporate appropriate elements of the campus and college strategic plans in developing strategies for each location.
2. Leverage existing relationships with high school partners and intensify outreach efforts to districts currently identified as underserved or possessing unmet needs (Belton, Raytown, Raymore-Peculiar, etc.). Find synergy between strategic plans of MCC and the school districts.
1. Ensure regular MCC presence (in the form of credit courses, non-credit trainings, or other events/activities as appropriate) at the TTCCC, Community Access Center, and South KC facilities.
2. Develop at least one new Early College Academy or high school pathway with a Longview service area school district.
To close the annual IEP Cycle, PUMs fill out the yellow boxes in May.
