About this measure |
This measure tracks the value of improvements to County programs, services, and processes as a result of continuous improvement efforts.
Data are reported by the Cuyahoga County Office of Innovation and Performance (I&P) on a quarterly basis.
Why is this important? |
Cuyahoga County has a duty to continue to improve processes to ensure the maximum investment is made with public dollars received. I&P works with departments to identify process improvements and builds staff capacity to complete process improvement projects through the Cuyahoga County Innovation Academy (CCIA).
The value of improvements can be calculated in four different categories:
How are we making an impact? | |
In Q4-20, implementation of recommendations to improve the County's process for responding to public records requests continued. With in-development upgrades to the County's existing system for managing public records requests eliminating the need to procure a new system, an estimated $50,000 in avoidable costs is being reported in Q4-20.
A series of process improvement projects supporting the Cuyahoga County Sheriff also continued in Q4-20. Cuyahoga County Innovation Academy trainings continue to be delayed, but are expected to resume in 2021. In the meantime, the Office of Innovation and Performance staff continue to support County staff working toward Green Belt certification as needed.
