About this measure |
This measure quantifies the number and percent of County employees who have received training based on the number of course completions. Data presented are only for County employees working in agencies under the authority of the County Executive.
Data are reported by the Cuyahoga County Department of Human Resources on a quarterly basis.
Why is this important? |
Employee training and development is important to workplace safety, employee productivity, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.
How are we making an impact? | |
COVID-19 forced the County to quickly redesign the way it provided employee training. With face-to-face training being cancelled for a second quarter, employees were forced to look online for their training needs. Organizational & Employee Development (OED) increased its online course offerings as a direct response to this need. Thus, we saw a significant increase in the number of employees who took advantage of eLearning in the latter half of 2020. Additionally, Upholding Trust in Government: Cuyahoga County Ethics Law, a yearly training requirement, was released in Q3-20 and completion of this annual training was required by Q4-20. During Q4, OED continued offering online, face-to-face and virtual performance management and employment development trainings ending the quarter with 2,898 additional participants.
