About this measure

This measure quantifies the number and percent of County employees (of agencies under the County Executive) who have received training. Data reported is provided by the Cuyahoga County Department of Human Resources (HR) and does not include training offered or received at other agencies.
Why is this important?

Employee training and development is important to workplace safety, employee productivity, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.
How are we making an impact?

The Department of Human Resources continues to increase its training offerings. In the second quarter of 2019, new courses included:

  • Creating Followership: What it Takes to Lead
  • Trusting Yourself: Self Efficacy 
  • No Wrong Door: Defining YOUR Service Delivery Standards
  • Getting Unstuck: Crucial Conversations 
  • Balancing Work and Life 
  • Leading Innovative Change
  • Maintaining Healthy Professional Boundaries
  • Coping With Stress

Courses are offered daily and are meant for employees at all levels within the organization. A Leadership Development Series was rolled out in the second quarter, providing all County leaders with recommended courses depending on their tenure in their current roles. Additional courses will be rolled out in the third quarter as HR continues to develop a culture of learning at Cuyahoga County.
