Advocating for the Cuyahoga County community at the state and federal levels is integral to ensuring community interests and needs are heard. By aligning the County's legislative agenda with its strategic plan, the County can advocate for additional dollars to support regional growth, economic opportunity, and individual well-Being in Cuyahoga County.

How are we making an impact? | |
The Department of Regional Collaboration continues to work with the state and federal lobbyist as they advocate on behalf of Cuyahoga County. Cuyahoga County continues to find ways to support residents during this pandemic and unprecedented times. In addition to focusing on providing support to residents during the pandemic, state and federal lobbyist are also advocating at the state and federal level for priorities set forth by the administration.
In preparation for the upcoming Capital Budget, the Department of Regional Collaboration continues to meet regularly with department directors to advocate for the well-being of County programs, cost savings and investments in County projects that will enhance the health, safety and economic viability of Cuyahoga County residents and the region as a whole.
The Department of Regional Collaboration continues to regularly review CARES Act and other federal legislation to ensure compliance and to promote and apply for grants that bring resources to the region. The Department continues to work with state and federal partners to monitor guidance from the U.S. Treasury and other Federal Agencies to maximize the dollars directed by the Federal Government.
