How are we making an impact? | |
The Communications Department has continued to provide information to residents about the COVID-19 pandemic.
Messaging has shifted from primarily COVID-19 safety to a focus on COVID-19 vaccinations. Communications is working closely with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health to support and streamline vaccine messaging. A more long-term effort and communications plan is being developed beginning in Q1-2021. Messaging around support for residents impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic is ongoing through initiatives such as Mortgage Assistance, the Small Business Stabilization Fund, and the Restaurant Stabilization Fund. Communications is also continuing to assist with County and Board of Health Media Briefings every other week.
The Communications Department is working closely with the Citizens’ Advisory Council on Equity’s (CACE) Communications Subcommittee to help get the word out about the CACE’s Status Report to the Community through an extensive communications plan across many channels.
The County News Now Newsletter is maintaining its send-out cadence of once every other week, filled with pieces that directly impact residents. Communications is continuing to work toward acquiring additional subscribers through social media promotion and sign-up links on commonly-visited website forms.
The County News Now blog continues to share important updates on County programs and initiatives with the community, including pandemic-related relief efforts.
The County homepage also promoted these pandemic-related programs, including the Small Business Stabilization Fund and Restaurant Stabilization Fund. These programs and related pages reached nearly 15,000 users during Q4-20.
