About this measure |
This measure shows the number of board and commission appointments made annually.
Data are reported by the Cuyahoga County Department of Regional Collaboration on an annual basis.
Why is this important? |
More than 75 boards and commissions across the county support residents through oversight of such topics as economic development, transportation, city planning, health, and safety. The County Executive is responsible for appointments to these boards and commissions, which are made up of our residents, businesses, and partners.
How are we making an impact? | |
While maintaining a robust membership of highly qualified appointees to the County’s External Boards and Commissions, the Department of Regional Collaboration continues to collaborate with Executive Directors of a variety of boards to better understand the individual needs each board has with regard to potential board members, their experience, and skill set. This two-way communication helps promote individuals who are from underrepresented populations become more involved with the work of the County through activism on a board or commission. This work also better connects the boards to the overall goals of the County to better align priorities and resources.
