About this measure |
Provided in partnership with the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections (BOE), measures reported on this page show the total number of registered voters in Cuyahoga County, the percent of the eligible population registered to vote, and total voter registrations from customers of Cuyahoga County agencies.
Why is this important? |
The Charter of Cuyahoga County gives County government the charge to protect the right to vote and undertake measures to promote voter registration. In addition to providing comprehensive voter services and transparent elections, Cuyahoga County is committed to making voter registration easy and accessible to everyone. Every voice matters and through regular tracking of voter registration data it can be seen how efforts to help residents learn more about the importance of voting and make the process more accessible are impacting voter registration numbers.
How are we making an impact? | |
This is a community indicator measure. It is provided to show an understanding of the overall community health. The County organization does not directly control the outcome of this measure; however, a number of programs and initiatives the County is undertaking can have an impact.
Cuyahoga County has taken a number of steps to promote and protect voter registration and voting rights providing voter education and updates that enhance voter participation, like the annual Your Voice Matters Youth Summit. BOE staff also provide voter education, guidelines, and training to community members and organizations that submit Voter Registration Cards for processing.
