About this measure |
This measure shows the number of clients served, as well as the percent of clients served by race through a series of programs administered by the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS) that allow seniors and adults with disabilities to remain independent and living in their own homes, as well as other core programs. These programs include:
Quarterly performance data for each program represents the number of unique clients served during the three-month period. Clients may be counted in multiple quarters depending on the services received.
Annual performance data for each program represents an unduplicated client count, meaning each client is counted only once regardless of whether they received services in more than one quarter during the year.
Data are reported by the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services on a quarterly basis. Data collection and reporting is done through two cloud-based secure networks. One is a state-mandated system for adult protective services and the other is for all other DSAS programs. Annual and bi-annual reports are compiled and demographic data is collected on an annual basis for all programs. Additional internal productivity and performance measures are also tracked.
Why is this important? |
The Division of Senior and Adult Services empowers seniors and adults with disabilities to age successfully by providing resources and support that preserve their independence. These services help seniors and adults with disabilities remain safe and healthy in their own homes, preventing early nursing homes or assisted living placement.
How are we making an impact? | |
The Division of Senior and Adult Services provides a variety of services designed to improve the quality of life and independence for seniors and adults with disabilities. Services include adult protective services; a variety of home-based services such as personal care homemaking, home delivered meals; transportation to medical appointments; assistance with applying for supportive benefits; and contracts with local community centers for activities and meals. All services may be accessed through the DSAS Connection Center by calling 216-420-6700.
