About this measure

This measure shows the number of clients served through the Options for Independent Living, Home Support Services, and Information Services programs. The Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services provides these programs, allowing seniors to remain independent and in their own homes.

Data are reported by the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services on a quarterly basis. Quarterly and year-to-date (YTD) data are unduplicated by program.

Why is this important?

The Division of Senior and Adult Services empowers seniors and adults with disabilities to age successfully by providing resources and support that preserve their independence. These services help seniors remain in their own homes, preventing them from entering nursing homes or assisted living facilities.

How are we making an impact?

The Home Support Services and Options for Independent Living programs help clients remain in their own home living independently by providing home delivered meals, personal care, and homemaking assistance. The Information Services program connects seniors to a variety of benefits, also enabling clients to live at home. These benefits include SNAP, HEAP, and other utility programs and emergency assistance. As of June 30, 2019, $212,275 in benefits assistance has been provided to clients of the Division of Senior and Adult Services.
