About this measure |
This measure shows the percent of child support payments due during a given reporting period that were made on time.
Monthly data are reported by the Cuyahoga County Office of Child Support Services on a quarterly basis. Annual performance is tracked by federal fiscal year, which begins October 1st and ends September 30th.
Why is this important? |
Presently, one in three children are involved in the Ohio Child Support Program. The Ohio Child Support Program impacts more children than any other public program with the exception of public education. It affects the quality of life of over one million of Ohio’s children. Children thrive when they receive the love and support of both parents. Child support can make a real difference in managing food, shelter, child care, transportation, clothing, medical, and dental expenses.
How are we making an impact? | |
The Cuyahoga County Office of Child Support Services hosted its eighth consecutive Employer Workshop. This year’s workshop was offered in a virtual format and was held over three separate dates. The workshop was free to attend and meets the needs of payroll professionals, human resources and small business owners by providing tools and resources needed to navigate their role in the child support program. Employers play a vital role in the child support program by providing financial security to families and securing health insurance coverage.
In addition to providing resources to our external partners, OCSS continues to develop tools that enhance the flow of work within the agency. Mail and other documents are accessible to employees immediately after scanning, reducing delays in delivery. Moving to a paperless environment has allowed OCSS to process work more efficiently and timely. Utilizing technology to ensure better and more consistent outcomes is a benefit to both employees and families that rely on our services.
