About this measure |
Performance measurement is a tool that local governments can use to improve program performance and address accountability. The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, like many federal government programs, requires measurement of program performance to help ensure federal funds are being used to reach stated program goals. This measure provides an overview of the number of total TANF recipients. The data for Cuyahoga County is reported by the Cuyahoga County Division of Job and Family Services
Why is this important? |
The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program goal is to promote responsibility, work, and self-sufficiency. TANF offers temporary financial assistance to help pay for food, childcare, rent and other living essentials.
How are we making an impact? |
Cuyahoga County Job and Family Services has researched approaches designed to provide timely service and to connect residents with employment and training opportunities. The Propel Enterprise Workforce Services model will be used, providing a holistic approach to serving TANF recipients. The Propel model will allow for the connection to training, work activities and job placement while providing a support system for the individual.
