The Office of Reentry provides thought leadership and funding for reentry programs. Programs include Chopping for Change Culinary Training Program, American Job Center at Euclid Jail, Networks 4 Success, NET at North Star, Open Door at CMHA Stokes Mall, and Aspire Greater Cleveland Adult Education. These programs provide job and skill training, education, substance abuse services, cognitive behavioral programs, housing and other needed services.

In 2018, OOR hosted Cuyahoga County Reentry Awareness Week to raise awareness, increase public safety, and provide resources and program linkages to individuals within this targeted population. A Credit Builiders Alliance event was also held, consisting of a variety of workshops focused on improving the credit of individuals with criminal records. Continued support was provided to key programs, like Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry’s Chopping for Change Program, which provides culinary training to support job readiness for female inmates. The OOR also provided funding for the Cuyahoga County Comprehensive Reentry Programming Center project, which provides Microsoft certification, intensive outpatient addiction treatment services, and job readiness skills training through Recovery Resources and Towards Employment. Finally, a $1,000,000 grant was awarded to OOR by the Department of Justice as a part of the Second Chance Act. With this funding, OOR will partner with Case Western Reserve University to create a Second Chance Reentry Law Clinic.
