This measure outlines the percent of high school students that earn a diploma in four years. The data included in this measure are from public school districts within each county.
Data are reported by the Cuyahoga County Office of Innovation and Performance on an annual basis.
Why is this important? |
Completing high school is an important first step toward long-term financial stability. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, workers without high school diplomas earned, on average, $24,000 annually; workers with high school diplomas earned $30,500; workers who completed some college earned $31,900; workers with a bachelor’s degree earned $49,900; and workers with a master’s degree or higher earned $59,200.
