This measure outlines the percentage of high school students that earn a diploma in four years. The data included in this measure are from public school districts within each county.
Why is this important? |
Completing high school is an important first step toward long-term financial stability. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, workers without high school diplomas earned, on average, $24,000 annually; workers with high school diplomas earned $30,500; workers who completed some college earned $31,900; workers with a bachelor’s degree earned $49,900; and workers with a master’s degree or higher earned $59,200.
