Public Works and Engineering completed a storm drainage mitigation project at the intersection of W. Texas Avenue and Whiting, which has improve flooding resilience dramatically. The City has recently completed construction of Phase I of the South Main Street Drainage Project, funded by CDBG. Phase II of this project is in the design phase. The City was recently notified of award of CDBG funding for a storm drainage project along W. Texas Avenue and Defee from Whiting to Jones.
