With the assistance of the Planning Department, CenterPoint has agreed to remove the existing sixteen (16) 100 watt streetlights along Hutto Parkway and replace them as follows:
- 16, 115 watt, LED, 10,850 lumen, double arm style luminaries, Powder Coated in Black mounted to galvanized steel pole serviced by underground conductor with the current monthly service rate schedule fee per street light at $26.30;and
- 20, 115 watt, LED, 10,850 lumen, double arm style luminaries, Powder Coated in Black mounted to galvanized steel pole serviced by underground conductor with the current monthly service rate schedule fee per street light at $10.34.
This project was recently completed and has made a positive impact in the area.
In addition, the project to upgrade the lighting at Jenkins Dog Park is underway. Baytown Electric has ordered poles and lights, and will begin installation once the area has dried out from the winter/spring rains. The project is expected to be complete this summer.
