The current Chambers County Park is located along Cedar Bayou. The remote location of the park is difficult to access and at a very low elevation, which makes it prone to flooding. In addition, there is currently no parking or park amenities other than a couple of picnic tables. In light of this, the cost of upgrading and maintaining the park makes it impracticable to proceed with obtaining it from Chambers County.
