The demolition of the basement and surface structure of the Citizens Bank building has been completed and a new design has been accepted by the Municipal Development District (MDD). The new design includes the preservation of approximately 5,000 square feet of the structure and "white boxing" it so that it can be put up for sale or lease following the preservation (as requested by Council). 

The Brunson Theater remodel was completed and a Grand Re-opening event held on August 23, 2019. The Brunson now houses the Baytown Visitors' Center along with a business incubator to further encourage development in the area.

Staff has retained the services of an urban design firm to provide concepts associated with the development of the 100 block of Texas Avenue.  These concepts will be presented to MDD and then Council.
