Parks crews have been planting the medians along Garth Road south of SH 146 to Decker Drive. The areas are filled with quality bed mix and irrigated prior to planting. Crews started with the northern most beds closest to Park Street following the Public Works crews that are removing the asphalt medians and pouring colored concrete with a stamped finish. 

The medians are being planted with

1. Natchez White Crape Myrtle
2. Variegated flax lily
3. Princess Caroline Grass

The project is expected to be completed by the end of spring.

Parks crews also upgraded the large median at Market Street and W. Main Street with decorative brick edging and landscaping.
