Currently the City is divided into five Neighborhood Protection Zones with each zone divided into four sub-zones which are surveyed each week by a Neighborhood Protection Officer. This allows the entire City to be proactively surveyed each week with one day per week available for special projects or Court activities. The NPO's also respond to citizen complaints within a specific sub-zone on the routine day for that specific sub-zone allowing for a more efficient inspection and notification process. The last quarter of the year also saw the implementation of an after hours / weekend enforcement activity targeting "Yard Parking" violations in response to increased complaints from residents. This program is being very successful in reducing the amount of evening and weekend 'yard parking' in residential areas.
