Description
This measure highlights the successful innovation projects implemented by City employees to reduce waste within City processes and improve value to customers. The number of projects will be highlighted, along with the total dollar amount of resources saved through the improvement projects. Hard dollar savings are costs that can actually be removed from the budget. Soft dollar savings include things like an employee's time being freed up to work on things that weren't possible before the improvement project. In some cases, enough soft dollar savings can and have been turned into hard dollar savings.

In FY19, a total of 20 innovation projects were completed by City employees in various departments with a hard dollar savings of $29,341.92 and soft dollar savings of $328,307.90.

In FY 20, a total of 27 innovation projects were completed by City employees in various departments with a hard dollar savings of $290,192.48 and soft dollar savings of $589,707.21.
