The City has purchased and begun the implementation of new permitting software through Tyler Technologies. Staff are currently working with Tyler personnel to document future permitting workflows. Beginning in March, these new workflows will begin to be built in the new system, while designated City staff are also being provided with extensive training in the setup and configuration of the software which will enable them to modify and thoroughly test every process before releasing it to the public. The Build and Validate phase will last through December 2020.
COVID-19 caused significant training delays pushing project out be 4 months. Training for Departmental personnel responsible for workflow development will be completed by mid-August. The Build and Validate phase will last through March 2021.
The workflow development and configuration will be completed by October 30th and departmental personnel will enter the system testing phase of all processes beginning on November 4th. End user training will be conducted January - February 2021 with a "go live" date in March 2021.
