The Human Resources Department has recently developed a strategic plan that encompasses the areas of talent attraction and talent management. Within these two focus areas, goals have been developed to begin the assessment of positions and individuals to identify key job functions and skills gaps. These assessments will be used as the basis for developing individual employee development plans that will allow the organization to respond when needed with contingency and/or transition plans. This type of workforce planning allows organizational agility through the ongoing development of all employees to stay responsive as business and organizational dynamics change.
