City employees have the opportunity to receive specialized training through the Process Improvement & People Empowerment (PIPE) Academy.  In addition to 200 employees being trained in PIPE Yellow Belt and 100 in PIPE Green Belt during FY2017, the City has trained another 100 employees in PIPE Green Belt during FY2018 and trained three cohorts (60 employees total) of PIPE Black Belts.  Before being certified as a PIPE Black Belt, employees must use the tools to complete or assist in the completion of process improvement projects.
